People ask me all the time, “What’s does Garmin Refurbished mean?”. This is an easy question to answer.
Garmin refurbished is a GPS that was returned to the retail store for some reason. Most electronics stores have a return policy that allows you to return any item if not completely satisfied. You in fact can return them for any reason at all. If you don’t like the color or how it works, even if it is working fine, you can still return it.
Refurbished Garmin GPS devices are better than new but only because they are cheaper. Everything else is the same, full factory warranty and stringent testing.
Whenever I see a listing with Garmin refurbished in it, I always check it out. I bought a Garmin Nuvi 350 refurbished GPS for less than half the retail price. It was brand new in a retail box with the Factory Refurbished sticker on it. Everything was in the box just like a new one. The box was creased a little but everything worked and looked just like new.
